Kathryn Rosemary Bullard was born on January 27, 1987 in Redondo Bech, then moved to Tarzana, California. Your home in Tarzana home was used in the television show "Mister Ed" in the 50s. The daughter of keyboardist Kim Bullard who was a musician in bands like Poco and Kant Tori Read, she went with her father when he toured with Crosby, Stills & Nash and the Grateful Dead.
Katy developed anorexia at age 12, has struggled with depression his entire life and had a serious addiction to cocaine and crack in his teens. He was in rehab three times before age 18. His lyrics are poetic and highly personal style, with songs about drug addiction, depression, self-loathing and self-destruction.
Rose wrote the lyrics for "Because I Can" from the age of thirteen to fifteen years, the lyrics talk about the problems he faced while growing up. Going out to parties and going to concerts at an early age Katy introduced to sex and drugs prematurely, experiencing things that led her to a path of self-destruction later.
At age 16, began working on their debut album "Because I Can" for V2 Records. On January 27, 2004, Because I Can was released along with her first single "Overdrive." The album only had two simple, "Overdrive" and "I Like." Rose also appeared in two successful soundtracks, Mean Girls and Thirteen
After leaving the label V2 Records his second album, "Candy Eyed" was released after more than three years of his debut album, and an independent record label River Jones Music. Katy Rose promised in December 2007, and married Sponko Yariv, a photographer, artist and filmmaker in August 23, 2008. Completing the 2007, Katy left the label and let fans know through his myspace page that has signed with a Japanese record label to distribute their third album "Tangled but True" which was expected to be launched in 2008, but did not happen. Along with Tangled but True, Rose promised to release another album in 2009.
